Michigan Launches “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Holiday Enforcement Campaign

Michigan Enforces Driving Campaign for Holiday Season
The holiday season is approaching, and it’s important to recognize the increase in accidents caused by impaired driving; either using drugs or alcohol while driving.
As of December 12, 2025, police agencies across Michigan have implemented the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, which will run until January 1, 2026, to raise awareness and help prevent impaired driving (Michigan State Police, 2025).
According to the Michigan State Police (2025), “Officers will be on the lookout for motorists under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs throughout the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ enforcement period,” emphasizing the zerotolerance policy for impaired drivers.
Three Major Points:
- Increased Law Enforcement - During the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, Michigan law enforcement agencies will lead heightened patrols and targeted enforcement to identify drivers that are impaired by alcohol or drugs.
- Legal Consequences for Impaired Drivers - Michigan State Police (2025), “motorists can be arrested at any BAC level if an officer thinks they are impaired.” - Motorists can face serious criminal penalties: fines, license suspension, increased insurance, and the possibility of going to jail.
- Public Safety Impact - During the holiday season, this campaign provides increased protection against impaired driving and related accidents.
Moss & Colella wishes everyone a happy holiday season and a reminder to stay safe and stay sober on the roads.

client review
I was referred to Moss & Colella in 2018 following a car accident. I cannot tell you how confident and safe I felt knowing that I was in good hands. David, and Ryan made sure that I always had any questions or concerns addressed in a timely manner. I appreciated their compassion, and understanding as I got emotional, and the reassurance they provided, made me feel important and valued as a client. If you need a great lawyer for an injury, this is your firm! I hope I never need to be in a position where I’d need their help again, but if I did, I’d gladly seek their services!
