Candidate Considerations:
Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills J.D. from an ABA-approved law school Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed Former appellate clerkship is desirable Law review experience and high academic achievement is desirable Ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients Willingness to work hard, often on short deadlines, and open to learn from appellate lawyers with extensive experience Candidates should send a resume and writing sample to Vince Colella at vcolella@mosscolella.com
Responsibilities:
Handling personal injury cases from initial client consultation through resolution; drafting and filing pleadings, i.e., complaints, motions, and briefs; conducting depositions and witness interviews; negotiating with insurance companies and opposing counsel; preparing and arguing motions in court.
Required Qualifications:
Active state bar license in good standing with 2+ years of litigation experience.
