Moss & Colella is proud to welcome Dan Brown as our newest law clerk. Dan is currently a 3L student at Michigan State University College of Law, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA. He is also the founder and vice president of Future Lawyers Against Gun Violence; an organization committed to advocacy and legal reform.
During law school, Dan distinguished himself in the 2025 Gender and Sexuality Moot Court Competition, where he was named Best Oralist, received the Second-Best Brief Award, and placed third overall.
A highlight of Dan's academic experience was working with Congresswomen Elissa Slotkin on her 2022 re-election campaign: an opportunity that deepened his passion for public service and policy.
Dan recently joined Vince Colella on a trip to Traverse City, where he was able to participate in trial. He said it was an "honor" and a valuable step toward his future in litigation. After graduation, he plans to take the bar and pursue a career in civil rights litigation, with a focus on gender and sexuality rights.
Outside of his professional life, Dan is passionate about fishing. In 2019, he was recognized as the youngest professional bass angler. He also took 1st place in the BASS Senior Elite Trail and was awarded Angler of the Year and continues to spend his time in northern Michigan on the water.
We’re excited to have Dan with us and look forward to his continued success.
