Dan Brown

Dan Brown has joined the Moss & Colella team as an associate attorney after passing the July 2026 Michigan Bar Exam. Dan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif and recognized as Best Oralist in the Gender and Sexuality Moot Court Competition. He was also a member of the MSU Law ACLU.
Dan is passionate about advocating for others and pursuing justice on behalf of those who have been wronged. His commitment to making a meaningful difference in people's lives extends beyond the practice of law. In 2023, Dan co-founded Future Lawyers Against Gun Violence with Josh Kaplansky, an organization dedicated to engaging future attorneys in efforts to address gun violence.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time outdoors and has a longstanding passion for fishing. From 2015 to 2020, he competed as one of the youngest sponsored tournament bass anglers in Michigan, winning the 2019 Senior Elite Trail State title and 2019 Angler of the Year before fully dedicating his time to pursuing a career in law.
